#Showbiz: K-pop band BTS breaks records with new album

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean group BTS has reasons to be extra happy these days.

Their third studio album, Love Yourself: Tear, released on May 18 created history when it became the album with the most units sold within a week in South Korea.

Koreaboo reported that the data of album sales collected by Hanteo revealed that a million units of the album had been sold digitally.

The album also broke record for clocking 1.5 million units for its pre-sale bookings made by fans and record vendors.

Love Yourself: Tear contains eleven tracks, with Fake Love as its lead single.

Meanwhile, BTS also received Top Social Artiste award for the second time at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards held last Sunday in Las Vegas, the US.

BTS which is made up of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, also performed Fake Love at the awards show.
