#Showbiz: Jungkook is K-pop artiste with most No.1 songs on Spotify's Global Chart

KUALA LUMPUR: Jungkook of K-pop sensation BTS has set an impressive record by becoming the K-pop act with the most No.1 songs on the Spotify Global Chart after his new track, Standing Next To You, took the top spot.

According to Soompi, the popular idol now has three solo songs, which includes Seven (featuring Latto) and 3D (featuring Jack Harlow), that peaked on the chart.

This milestone sees Jungkook overtaking his own group BTS as well as international K-pop phenomenon BlackPink which charted two No.1 tracks each.

He is also a record holder for the K-pop artiste with songs staying the most days at No.1 on the same chart.

So far, his three solo songs have a combined duration of 73 days at the No.1 spot on the Spotify Global Chart.

To top it off, Jungkook's Seven has also become the fastest song in Spotify history to surpass a billion streams, beating Miley Cyrus' previous record which she set with her hit track, Flowers.
