KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrities are known to flaunt their designer gear on social media, but how do we know if the shoes, clothes and accessories they wear are fake or original?
Apparently an Instagram page with the name @streetwearbustamy outed some local celebrities for wearing knock-offs.
Some of the celebs that were “busted” for using imitations of brands like Supreme, Gucci, Adidas, Louis Vuitton are Ismail Izzani, Emma Maembong, Haqiem Rusli, Fathia Latiff, Janna Nick, Aiman Tino and Ara Johari.
The Instagram page which stands strongly against those who wear fake items wrote that public figures should know better than to wear fake designer goods.
“Supporting fake products is highly unethical,” was captioned in one of their posts.
The Instagram page did however credited some celebrities such as Awal Ashaari and Sharifah Sakinah for wearing authentic goods.
