KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrities constantly have thousands of people hanging onto their every move, so it’s understandable that they too need a social media detox once in awhile.
An artiste who recently decided she needed to take a step back from social media was Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 31’s Most Popular Artiste Wany Hasrita.
The singer deactivated her Instagram account after experiencing some technical issues requiring her to change the email address and username associated with the account.
“Plus, too much social media can be toxic for us if we are too dependent on it,” she said in a news report today.
According to Wany, deactivating the account had allowed her to live a normal life without the distractions.
“I miss my old life when the focus was more on spending time with my loved ones,” she said.
