KUALA LUMPUR: Word has it that the ginger-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran may be collaborating with K-Pop juggernaut BTS on a song.
According to Soompi, the popular English artiste had expressed the possibility during a recent interview with Heat World.
Sheeran was responding to tweets about him, with one in particular that read: “I want BTS x Ed Sheeran but when will they ever.”
The singer apparently replied: “I actually wrote a song that I think they might be messing with. I heard this the other day. I don’t know. I really like BTS though, I think they’re great.”
Sheeran had also previously directed a message to the K-Pop outfit in an Insta-story after BTS had released its single Idol and album Love Yourself: Answer back in August.
In it he wrote: “Congrats to BTS who are about to have an incredible week. Cool album x.”
Meanwhile, BTS continues to break records this time by being the first Korean group to have it’s music video hit the 550 million views mark on YouTube.
Soompi reported that the group had garnered the envious amount for its song DNA yesterday since its release about 14 months ago.
This also makes DNA the only music video released by a Korean group to have surpassed 500 million views on YouTube.
