#Showbiz: BlackPink's Jennie establishes own agency 'OA'

KUALA LUMPUR: Jennie of ultra popular K-pop group BlackPink has officially launched her own agency.

According to Soompi, the idol personally confirmed the news on Dec 24 that she had established her new label, called OA or Odd Atalier.

The 27-year-old South Korean singer, rapper and actress took to Instagram to share her new company logo and several photos.

Her entry read: "This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I'm so thankful for all the love I've received."

"I'm also excited about what's to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA.

"Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, BLACKPINK," she said.

Prior to this, speculation was rife that she had formed OA in November.

With her confirmation on the matter, all of Jennie's solo activities from now on will be managed by OA.

Meanwhile, all four of the BlackPink members had previously renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment to manage the music group's activities.
