KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Anuar Zain who is relatively a newbie when it comes to social media admires how his fellow celebrity friends handle tricky situations especially when attacked with brickbats from Netizens.
Having only set up his Instagram account in September with some 28,000 followers to date, the 48-year-old artiste admitted that while the online photo-sharing app allowed him to connect better with his fans, dealing with negative comments thrown at him from his followers was a whole new ball game for him.
Seeking how best to manage the situation, Anuar turned to fellow singer Siti Sarah Raissuddin who in turn had advised him to take the lead from Neelofa.
“Some of them suggested I take a look at Neelofa’s Instagram account and read the comments posted by Netizens.
“All I can say is, I take my hat off to Neelofa for holding her head high when dealing with haters and rude comments.
“At the same time I wonder why these people who post harsh comments aren’t afraid of the consequences,” he said in a recent news report.
Neelofa draws massive attention from Netizens on all aspects of her professional as well as her personal life.
Boasting some 5.8 million Instagram followers, the 29-year-old actress and entrepreneur has her own way of responding to criticism which is to simply ignore the haters.
