KUALA LUMPUR: More than two decades after Datuk Siti Nurhaliza began her music career, the 39-year-old star still shines with all her glory.
The Cindai singer has once again topped Spotify’s annual list in the most streamed Malaysia artiste category, making it her second consecutive year of securing the top spot.
The list was revealed when Spotify recently shared its annual year end figures that featured the top artistes' tracks and albums.
Although the songstress took a short break to focus on motherhood, this year saw the award-winning artiste releasing three songs, Cinta Syurga, Anta Permana and Comel Pipi Merah, the last of which was dedicated to her daughter Siti Aafiyah who was born last March.
In a news report, Siti shared that she felt grateful to be the most streamed Malaysian artiste on the popular music streaming app.
“Ever since I went on a break in May 2017, I knew that my fans who missed me had been streaming my (older) songs.
“I owe this to the unwavering support of my dedicated fans, the Sitizoners,” she said.
Aside from Siti, the other local artistes who made the Top 5 on the same list were Faizal Tahir, Sufian Suhaimi, Haqiem Rusli and Ismail Izzani.
