#Showbiz: G-Dragon and Jimin in Guardian's 'boyband members' hit list

KUALA LUMPUR: British media outlet The Guardian released its 'The 30 Best Boyband Members' list yesterday.

Among the list of individuals from famous music groups such as Backstreet Boys, Take That, Nsync, New Kids On The Block, were hunky blokes like Gary Barlow, Ricky Martin and Jordan Knight.

According to Allkpop, Asian stars from the K-Pop realm also made a distinctive mark on the list. The two that made it were Big Bang's G-Dragon and BTS' Jimin.

Coming in at No.17, the 23-year-old BTS vocalist was described as the member who, "brought the flashes of old school boyband sex appeal, 'accidentally' showing off his abs during the gorgeous, slow-burn solo track Serendipity" at the recent London arena show.

Hot Big Bang leader G-Dragon was situated at No.11. The singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer was naturally praised for his musical talent and high fashion sense.

The description read: "In many ways, Big Bang’s G-Dragon, hailed by many as the king of K-Pop, ushered in the era of the modern, multi-disciplinary Korean pop star."

Apparently, the multi-talented idol had once appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue.

The list also included other boy band luminaries such as Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams and more.

The top spot went to the late, great 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson, who made his professional debut at the age of 6 as a member of the Jackson 5.
