#Showbiz: BTS is coming to KL, says Tony Fernandes

KUALA LUMPUR: Army fans, take note! South Korean pop giant BTS will be heading here!

This good news was revealed by Air Asia chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes in an Instagram post yesterday.

Fernandes, who was in Seoul, South Korea, uploaded an Instagram photo of himself and a young BTS fan identified only as Yuna. The caption to his photo said: “I’m with my BTS big hit official bag and a staunch fan, Yuna, who is super happy after Queens Park Rangers’ big win. And yes, BTS is coming soon to Malaysia!”

Fernandes’ brief announcement delighted his followers who thanked him for the “fantastic news”.

“Wow! This is the best news I’m hearing. I’m a die-hard Army and I loved their recent concert film Burn The Stage: The Movie,” said Soffea.

“The inner fangirl is about to explode. Thanks a million Tan Sri. May we all have a blast!” said Amirah.

“Serious Tan Sri? I’m so on top of the world hearing this from you!” said Fatin.

BTS recently announced that it was embarking on a world tour, but the members did not mention Malaysia as one of their stops. The group also announced that following the success of Burn The Stage: The Movie, it would be releasing another concert film, the BTS Love Yourself Movie on Jan 26 next year.

BTS’ date with Malaysians has yet to be fixed, but Army fans can count on Fernandes and Air Asia to “make the magic happen”.
