KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Noraniza Idris’ Instagram post yesterday which is dedicated to her elder son Mohd Aliff Haiqal Mohd Fauzi, has touched the hearts of fans and followers.
The traditional music artiste posted a photo of her giving his 26-year-old son a big hug on his wedding day.
The photo is accompanied with an entry: “Aliff anakku, ini catatan ibu utkmu anakku, pertama kali mdengar tangismu, hilang segala kesakitan melahirkanmu... Masa berlalu pantas dan kini mama menyaksikan alif berdiri depan pintu gerbang kehidupan baru...” (Aliff, my son, I’m writing this for you. Your first cry soothed the labour pain which I endured when giving birth to you. Time passes by so quickly and now I am witnessing you embark on a new chapter in your life.)
While the entire entry is nothing short of emotional, the part that tugged at the heartstrings of many who read it was when the 50-year-old artiste apologised for her imperfections.
“Maafkan kerana mama bukanlah mama yang sempurna untukmu.” (Please forgive me for not being the perfect mother to you).
Noraniza also said that she would constantly pray for his happiness.
Aliff and his brother Mohd Alfeeq Haiqal Mohd Fauzi, 25, are Noraniza’s children from her first marriage to Mohd Fauzi Mohd Tajuddin a.k.a. Fareez.
Following their divorce in 2007, Fareez was granted custody of the children.
Aliff married Ezza Nafiesha Zakaria last Saturday in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.
