#Showbiz: 'Insult all you want, we are his parents from now to the grave,' says Aliff Aziz's mother [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: The mother of actor and singer Aliff Aziz, Siti Hafiza Basharahil, has asked netizens to stop insulting her deceased parents and in-laws.

In a lengthy post on Instagram yesterday, Siti Hafiza requested for the barrage of insults to be directed at her as well as her husband instead, since they are Aliff's parents from now until their journey to the grave.

She said that she had received many abusive words via direct messaging (DM) on her account.

"Alhamdulillah, for all the blessings of God, especially in this holy month. Here, I would like to share some sincere views.

"Many have DM me with various kind words and the opposite as well.

"My husband and I accept everything with open arms, we ask our Islamic brethren to refrain from using abusive words on my late mother and father, as well as my husband's parents from claims of infidelity and hypocrisy to curses, insults, and many other words that we don't have the heart to express here.

"If you want to insult, insult us because we are the parents and our responsibility goes to the grave. We accept it with an open heart with God's permission," she wrote.

Siti Hafiza also apologised and forgave those she described as being preoccupied with other people's affairs even though they were not aware of the actual truth.

"We humbly ask for forgiveness and we forgive everyone.

"Be assured that God still covers your shame and if God reveals your shame, you will certainly feel what we feel, Alhamdulillah. Be preoccupied only with God," she said.

However, Siti Hafiza's post still received criticism from followers with some asking her not to pretend to be a victim.

"Aunty, if you're obsessed with your own children to the point of being alright with the immoral acts they commit, what about you Aunty? You who labelled those who take pity on your former daughter-in-law as being obsessed?

"Recite the verses and repent Aunty. Stop playing the victim," commented a social media user.

Previously, Siti Hafiza was reported to have unfollowed her daughter-in-law on IG following the conflict between Aliff and his wife, Bella Astilah, after he was allegedly caught for khalwat with fellow artiste Ruhainies recently.

However, Bella still follows her mother-in-law on social media.
