KUALA LUMPUR: The father of singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan, Datuk Amdan Mat Din, has passed away earlier today at 1.10am.
The 62-year-old breathed his last at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital.
The cause of death is yet to be known but his father had suffered from stroke since late 2017, and had since been bedridden.
Aizat, 29, took to Instagram this morning to share the sad news via an Insta-story entry.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my father, Amdan Bin Hj Mat Din who passed away at 1.10 am this morning, on Jan 9 2019).
According to Aizat in a news report today, his father’s remains would be buried after Zohor prayers today however no details of the burial is given.
