#Showbiz: Jungkook behind most retweeted BTS tweets of all time

KUALA LUMPUR: International K-Pop sensation BTS is one of today’s most influential music acts and it’s no surprise that its members also have a strong presence in the social media realm.

According to Koreaboo, four posts from the South Korean music group’s official Twitter account have made it to the Top 30 list of most retweeted tweets in the world. BTS also apparently holds the most tweets in this particular ranking.

But what’s more interesting is that three out of those four posts were tweeted by BTS member Jungkook.

Firstly, the 21-year-old idol’s cover of All Of My Life had reached No. 28 with 652,000 retweets early last year.

Next up, his cover of Scenery, which also included an epic lipsync battle with fellow BTS member Jimin, took the No. 29 spot with 649,000 retweets back in January.

The hat-trick achievement was completed last December by yet another rendition of a cover, this time of IU’s Ending Scene, which resulted in the singer-songwriter notching a post at No. 30 with 631,000 retweets.

On top of that, Jungkook’s cover of All Of My Life was also reported to have been selected as the Golden Tweet of 2018 by the popular social media platform itself late last year.

Apparently, he has also trended on Twitter at No. 7 in Poland and Portugal, as well as at No. 8 in Korea, No. 9 in the UAE, No. 10 in Singapore and No. 18 in Malaysia in the past.

Twitter aside, the fresh-faced idol had racked up some milestones on other platforms as well.

Jungkook was reported to have come in at No. 1 on the YouTube search before and also nailed the top spot for trending on the K-Pop category on Google for three consecutive years.
