#Showbiz: Soul Sisters Concert tour on the cards?

KUALA LUMPUR: The harmonious, captivating team-up of the Soul Sisters — Misha Omar, Siti Sarah Raissuddin and Noryn Aziz — is not a one-off treat for music lovers, says their producer.

Edd Razhe, whose company Edd Razhe Entertainment (ERE) produced the two-day Soul Sisters Concert at Istana Budaya, Jalan Tun Razak last Friday and Saturday, said he had plans for the popular trio to tour the country at a later date, due to popular demand.

“Fans of Misha, Sarah and Noryn flocked to Istana Budaya from near and far. They enjoyed every minute of the two-hour show and many later told me it would be great for the Soul Sisters to embark on a nationwide tour later,” he said today.

Edd added that while he had not planned anything for the soulful trio yet, having them entertain fans in other parts of the country, and perhaps neighbouring countries “was a very strong possibility”.

“All the hard work that we put in over the last seven months has really paid off. Misha, Sarah and Noryn were superb on both nights, their vocals pitch-perfect and so harmonious. I’m glad I found the right team of soul singers — they’re the best singers I’ve worked with!”

He revealed that among the guests who attended the Soul Sisters Concert were Sultanah Kalsom of Pahang and singers Ella, Liza Hanim, Ziana Zain and Dayang Nurfaizah, as well as actress and entrepreneur Rozita Che Wan.

Noryn, 43, Misha, 37, and Sarah, 34, performed a total of 33 songs in the concert which had Sze Wan as its arranger and Datuk Nasser Abu Kassim as music director.

The songs included Christina Aguilera’s Lady Marmalade, Freedom’s Mulanya Di Sini, Anita Sarawak’s Akhirnya Kini Pasti, and Aretha Franklin’s Respect.

They also performed their own hit songs, such as Fantasi O Realiti (Noryn), Cinta Adam Dan Hawa (Misha) and Jangan Kau Mimpi (Sarah).
