KUALA LUMPUR: The boys of popular K-Pop group BTS surprised fans yesterday with a little “sunshine” when they arrived at the Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
The red hot music outfit, which had just finished its North American, South American and European legs of its Love Yourself: Speak Yourself stadium tour, saw members Jin, Suga and J-Hope in the arrival area dressed as sunflowers.
According to Soompi, there was no official explanation as to why the trio had donned the quirky sunflower headgear but fans had already started speculating about the cause.
Some were guessing that it might be a penalty for losing a game on the group’s variety show, Run BTS!
One fan wrote: “Sunshine, well in this case sunflower line with what is surely another Run BTS! punishment. I’m laughing so hard. They wore it proudly.”
BTS is currently celebrating the 6th anniversary of its debut via the 2019 BTS Festa event, in which the seven-member music group share new content and gifts in the weeks leading up to the actual day on June 13.
Soompi also reported that BTS is set to release a new album consisting of original soundtrack material which would be featured in its upcoming mobile interactive game, BTS World.
The CD album, which will be available from June 28 onwards, will include a photo book, double-sided photo card, game coupon, lenticular card and a poster.
Meanwhile, fans can check out a remix of BTS member Jungkook’s solo track, Euphoria, released today in conjunction with the group’s anniversary celebrations.
According to Soompi, the song titled as the DJ Swivel Forever Mix was accompanied by a music video as well.
Apparently, the tune was first shared in its original form in April last year as part of the BTS short film, Euphoria: Theme Of Love Yourself Wonder.
The popular ditty was later included as the first track in the group’s compilation album, Love Yourself: Answer.
