KUALA LUMPUR: Rocker Amy of Search, who was reunited with his actress daughter Nabila Huda Suhaimi recently, is overjoyed that it happened.
“My heart is filled with fragrant flowers now,” he said in a news report yesterday, following their reconciliation which happened at his house in Shah Alam last Thursday.
Amy, 60, whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, also said that Nabila Huda, 34, had also made up with his wife Norhasniza Hassan or Nourish at his Hari Raya open house that day.
“My prayers have been answered, it is the will of God and I'm thankful that we've received His blessings this Hari Raya,” said Amy who thanked actress and director Erma Fatima for making the reconciliation happen.
Nabila also joined Amy in celebrating Nourish's birthday yesterday, and they threw her a surprise party at his house.
“Actually, Nourish and Erma planned to have Nabila and I reconnect during the Raya open house. At that time our young ones had gone out for a movie, and I was alone at home.
“While I was sitting in the living room I felt that something was going to happen, and when the doorbell rang, I quickly opened the door and had the most beautiful surprise of my life.”
Amy uploaded an Instagram video showing his family, including Nabila Huda, singing "happy birthday" to Nourish.
In the caption he said: “Happy birthday sayang, this is God's most beautiful gift to you. Smile, for I know your heart smiles always. Love you till jannah.”
Netizens, including celebrities, were delighted to see Amy, Nourish and Nabila Huda in the family reunion together.
Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina said: “Everybody looks so happy. Happy birthday Nourish and best wishes Amy and Nabila Huda.”

Last Friday, Nabila Huda thanked Erma for making her reunion with her father finally happen.
Nabila Huda and her husband Mohd Izwan Johar joined Erma and her family when they visited Amy.
She thanked Erma for finally "making her life complete" and said: "Love you mama! Thank you for making my wish come true. You're amazing, just one phone call and I'm at his doorstep. I'm so happy now!"
On Jan 22, Nabila Huda said that it had been more than three years since she last met Amy.
In August 2018, she blamed Nourish for the strained father-and-daughter relationship.
Nabila, the star of Munafik, is the only child from Amy’s first marriage to Faridah Fadzil.
