KUALA LUMPUR: As the leader of international K-Pop group BTS, RM turns 25 today, and fellow members and fans, dubbed Army, celebrated the occasion with an outpouring of love and affection on Twitter.
According to Soompi, the Army started to trend numerous hashtags after midnight in honour of the idol’s special day and in less than an hour, seven of the Top 10 worldwide trends, as well as 15 of the Top 20, on the social media platform were dedicated to RM.
Some of the highest-trending topics for RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, were #HappyBirthdayNamjoon, #OurJooniverse, #MoonchildDay, #HappyBirthdayRM and #RMGalaxyDay.
Other idols from the popular seven-member music outfit also uploaded some cute messages for the fresh-faced rapper, song-writer and music producer.
J-Hope wrote: “Happy Birthday to our Namjoon, who always has his own spot in my phone. There are so many tags, Namjoon. Hehe, this is the power of ARMY.”
Suga also chimed in with: “Happy Birthday to our leader!” He added in the hashtags, “Namjoon, this is Yoongi hyung,” “Namjoon, happy birthday,” and “Happy happy birthday to our leader Namjoon.”
One fan wrote: “Happy birthday to our handsome, hardworking leader. Namjoon I hope all of your wishes come true today and always. Thank you for everything you do. Love you always.”
Another said: “Dearest Namjoon, you're an enabler - you enable others to love, to lead, to grow, and to want to be the best versions of themselves. You're what the world needs and so much more. I'm just so grateful you exist. Happy Birthday!”
Yet one more from the Army wrote: “Love you and your words in both your lyrics and life.”
RM responded to the various birthday wishes by posting several photos of himself with the simple caption, “Thank you.”
