KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with popular actress Song Hye Kyo’s 38th birthday on Friday, her fans have orchestrated a surprise gift for her.
According to Koreaboo, an advertisement celebrating South Korean star’s upcoming birthday had appeared on the famous jumbo screen at Times Square in New York, USA.
The advertisement, which has been up since last Sunday will continue its run until Friday.
The project was reportedly organised by Song's Korean and international fans.
Apparently, this also makes her the first Korean actress to have a birthday ad in this location.
The award-winning star of hit TV dramas such as Descendants Of The Sun and Encounter made it to the No. 6 spot in Forbes magazine's Korea Power Celebrity list last year.
Song was also in the limelight following her divorce to fellow actor Song Joong Ki last July.
