#Showbiz: 'I miss holding your hand'

KUALA LUMPUR: Still grieving from the recent loss of her father, Datuk Nassier Wahab, Intan Najihah posted a heartbreaking entry on her Twitter account earlier today.

The 22-year-old only child of the singer who passed away yesterday, wrote: “I miss holding your hand.”

She also uploaded a series of photos of her simple but sweet memories of holding Nassier's hand to accompany the tweet.

This follows several previous online posts where she had expressed her pain of losing her beloved father.

One read: “Ayah, be peaceful over there... Rest forever. Ayah has endured enough pain for the longest time. We will meet again one day. I love you Ayah.”

Another was, “I miss you Ayah... I would do anything to have one last conversation, one last hug, one more motivational chat to get me through...Come back, I need you so much, this pain is unexplainable.”

Her touching outpouring was met with much sympathy online as Netizens left comments of hope, encouragement and prayers for Intan and her family, including her mother Datin Fatimah Abd Rauf, 56, during this tragic period in their lives.

Nassier, who was a popular singer in the 80s, passed away at 12.45am yesterday at the age of 57.

Known for his hit songs, Sekali Aku Jatuh Cinta, Undangan Rindu, Memori Cinta Luka and Susah Senang Kita Bersama, the singer drew his last breath at the University of Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya.

In June this year, Nassier underwent surgery to remove a growth on his left jaw. Last year, he underwent surgery to remove a tumour on his neck.
