#Showbiz: 'I miss my father's jokes' - Lok U's son Adam Danial

KUALA LUMPUR: “Every time my siblings and I were at the dining table, my father would always joke around with us and also praise my Ummi’s cooking.”

“This is something that I will really miss after this,” said Adam Danial, 20, the eldest child of music director Faizal Uzir, as he solemnly recalled a sweet memory with his late father.

Faizal, 46, who was also fondly known as Lok U, drew his last breath at his home in Puncak Jalil, Seri Kembangan early yesterday. He was reported to have experienced breathing difficulties after an exercise session.

A somber-looking Adam revealed that he was shocked to hear the news of his father’s untimely passing but willingly accepted the unfortunate incident as fate.

“I was utterly speechless at first. I did not know what to say at all. During my entire return trip to KL, I was crying my heart out because before this, I never though I would lose him.”

“No matter, I accept this as God’s will. As the eldest sibling, I have to be strong for my family,” said Adam, who is a matriculation student in an institute in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan.

Faizal’s remains were buried at the USJ 22 Islamic Cemetery in Subang Jaya at 9.15pm yesterday.

Aside from being a loving person who enjoyed joking around, Adam added that his late father would also dole out motivational messages to his children.

“In his last motivational message to me, my father had asked me to become a successful person in the family. It was his dream that I become so,” he said.

Faizal leaves behind his wife Jamariah Yusof and four children, Faris Danial, Ahmad Firhan Danial and Yasmin Damia, aside from Adam.

Present at his burial were fellow celebrity friends including that included Hazama, Tomok, Datuk Syafinaz Selamat, Hafiz Suip, Azmeer, Datuk Nash and Ujang of Exist.
