KUALA LUMPUR: Lyricist and actor Bob Lokman has been admitted to the UiTM Hospital in Sungai Buloh due to kidney complications.
News of the 56-year-old artiste getting treatment at the hospital was shared by Dr Riduan Mohd Nor on his Facebook account yesterday.
According to his FB posting, Bob, whose full name is Mohd Hakim Lokman, was touring Terengganu on a preaching roadshow. He was feeling very weak and was referred to UiTM hospital, where he had received treatment in 2015 and January 2018.
“This time around, his condition looks very serious. His feet are all swollen and they have turned black, a result of kidney problems.
“Every time we visit him, it is obvious that he is trying very hard to manage severe and chronic pain,” he wrote.
Dr Riduan has appealed to concerned parties to help Bob who is also in need of financial assistance as it is reported that he had to fork out RM1,000 monthly for his medications.
Besides kidney problems, Bob was previously hospitalised due to lungs and heart complications.
Bob and his wife Relawati Daud, 42, has eight children. His eldest Mohamad Adam passed away at 25, in October 2018 due to brain tumour.
