KUALA LUMPUR: After much speculation, popular actress Mira Filzah yesterday confirmed her engagement to Wan Emir Astar, the son of Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Special Functions, Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid.
However, the 27-year-old artiste is still keeping mum about the details of her engagement.
"For now, I've been asked not to reveal anything yet. God-willing, when everything has been set, I will then make an announcement," she said in a news report yesterday.
Although the Sangkar star neither denied nor confirmed that her wedding would be held in October as rumoured, she let on that preparations were already underway for the special event.
"I am ready (for marriage) and currently in the 'on-going' phase (of preparation). As to how much of the preparation has been done so far, I can't answer that since it's still at the early stage," she said.
As the government has now allowed wedding receptions be carried out with a maximum seating for 250 individuals, Mira added that she would definitely allocate seats for members of the media as well.
She said: "God-willing, when a date has been finalised, I will share it."
Prior to this, rumours of a relationship between Mira and Emir were intensified after her younger sister, Aina Fadhilah, addressed Emir as BIL (brother-in-law).
Meanwhile, Mira will be appearing in a new show by recently-established streaming platform Nurflix, titled Mira Mira On The Wall, which is set to start filming soon.
