KUALA LUMPUR: Hip-hop singer Kayda Aziz is thrilled to have rap artiste Altimet to co-write the lyrics with her for her latest single.
The two penned Kayda's new tune, a duet which sees her performing with Nur Fatima.
"It's like a dream come true. It's an honour to be able to work together with Altimet. Honestly, the experience was simply priceless. Thank you Altimet for giving me the opportunity," she said in a news report today.
"I've written my own lyrics before this. But it has always been my dream to someday learn to write lyrics from an experienced rap artiste. And I've learned a lot from Altimet," she said with hopes that there will be future collaborations with the rap star.
On Galeri, the 29-year-old daughter of legendary songstress Datuk Sheila Majid and music producer Roslan Aziz said that besides Altimet, others involved in producing, writing and composing the song were Omar K, Audi Mok, Firdaus Rahmat dan Mas Dewangga.
Excited to be working with experienced singer Nur Fatima, she said: "I never had to think twice before agreeing to this project. I've always been a fan of Nur Fatima. She's a great singer."
Kayda said the song was recorded when the Canberra-based Nur Fatima was in town to part in Gegar Vaganza 6 in 2019.
