KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean actress and former member of K-Pop band AOA Kwon Mina is reported to have been hospitalised after an alleged suicide attempt recently.
In a recent news report by Korea JoongAng Daily, the 27-year-old artiste was found unconscious in her home by an acquaintance who suspected something was amiss after failing to reach her on the telephone.
Mina received emergency treatment for excessive bleeding and was recovering at the hospital.
Worried about her condition, fans agreed that she needed professional help with her mental well-being.
Earlier this month, Mina faced heavy backlash from her fans, owing to the cheating controversy with her ex-boyfriend Yoo, who was in a relationship prior to dating her.
Mina addressed the issue admitting that she had "been a sly fox", and apologised for her actions.
