#Showbiz: 'Siti Sarah's kids help me cope with grief and loss' — Raissuddin Hamzah

KUALA LUMPUR: Although it has been more than 100 days since the passing of his daughter singer Siti Sarah, Raissuddin Hamzah still finds it a little difficult to accept the harsh reality.

However, the 1980s singer and actor admitted that he needed to accept it and moved on with his life.

"On the 100th day of her passing, I had the chance to erect the tombstones on her grave.

"Reading her name inscribed on the headstone, I felt sad, as it should be Siti Sarah who should be putting the tombstone on my grave," said the 61-year-old veteran artiste.

Raissuddin said he really felt her absence in his life as she was very close to him.

"Fortunately, all her children bear some resemblances to her, especially her first-born Uwais. Even little Ayash Affan looks like her when she was a baby.

"When my grandchildren are with me, they help me cope with grief and loss," said Raissuddin in a Harian Metro report today.

Siti Sarah died on Aug 9, due to Covid-19, and three days after she gave birth to her youngest child.

Besides her father and siblings, she is survived by her husband comedian Shahmira Muhamad a.k.a. Shuib of Sepahtu fame, 37; and their four children Uwais Alqarni, 10; Dzahira Talita Zahra, 8; Ariq Matin, 6; and Ayash Affan, three months old.
