KUALA LUMPUR: Season 3 of Lagu Cinta Kita is set to trill as the popular duet singing competition reaches its semi-finals on Sunday during the live show on TV3.
No couple was eliminated in the previous episode as Achik and Maria return to action after receiving the highest votes for the Wild Card which will see them competing against the remaining four couples.
In the previous episode, Pasya and Puteri emerged tops and were announced as the Best Couple Nivea which saw each of them winning an exclusive Nivea hamper.
The upcoming episode will see things heating up as the various couples battle it out following the Love OST theme featuring popular songs from movie soundtracks.
On top of that, award-winning singer-songwriter Hael Husaini has been invited as a guest judge to accompany the permanent jury led by Ajai and Mas Idayu.
Popular singer Wany Hasrita will also be on the love panel and serve as the episode's special performer with Tajul.
Hosted by Ain Edruce and Kamal Adli, Episode 7 of Lagu Cinta Kita Season 3 will see the five competing couples giving their best to impress the jury during the semi-finals.
Hariz and Wanie will be performing I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You by Marc Anthony and Tine Arena, while Pasya and Puteri are set to sing Relakan Jiwa by Hazama.
Syafeek and Zazo will belt out Sedetik Lebih by Anuar Zain and Malhamka and Yuveena will sing Haqiem Rusli's hit track, Mimpi.
Last but not least, Achik and Maria will round up the competing teams with a performance of Jangan Khianati Aku by Azlan Typewriter.
Lagu Cinta Kita is based on the popular South Korean reality TV show Love At First Song which features a hybrid music dating concept.
The first season ran in 2019 where 36 contestants were paired into 18 duet groups to compete for the top spot.
Season 3 saw a spike in its popularity as its second episode went viral on the Top 5 spot of Twitter in addition to being watched by over 3.2 million viewers.
