#Showbiz: Michelle Yeoh nominated for Best Actress In A Superhero Movie award

KUALA LUMPUR: For her role in the film Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Malaysia-born actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh has been nominated for Best Actress In A Superhero Movie award by the Critics Choice Super Awards.

The Hollywood superstar shared the good news on her Instagram yesterday, while at the same time congratulated the production team for getting four other nominations.

"Bravo @shangchi. Thank you @criticschoice and everyone (who) like our movie," wrote the 59-year-old actress in the caption to her post.

While the film is in the running for Best Superhero Movie, her co-stars Tony Leung has also been nominated for both Best Actor In A Superhero Movie and Best Villain In A Movie. Leung's co-star Simu Liu is also running for Best Actor In A Superhero Movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yeoh's contenders include Gal Gadot, Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, Margot Robbie and Zendaya.

Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi and Spider-Man: No Way Home lead this year's nominees for the Critics Choice Super Awards, which is organised by the Critics Choice Association for the second time.
