#Showbiz: sooka's first Hari Raya commercial reminds Malaysians on what truly matters

KUALA LUMPUR: New local streaming service sooka recently launched its first Hari Raya commercial titled Krisis Social Media Anis.

Aimed at reminding Malaysians on what truly matters during this festive season, the funny and heart-warming 4-minute commercial revolves around a social media follower-obsessed family who calls each other by their online handles.

The problem arises when the main character, Anis, started to lose followers, causing her household to fall into chaos.

Determined to solve the issue, the family bonds together to work towards Anis' goal of getting more followers.

In a statement, sooka head of programming Emarina Kamal, said: "The commercial communicates an everyday occurrence that we often see during this digital age."

"We often lose touch with the ones closest to us — that is our family and loved ones — because we are too occupied with our personal interests.

"During this Hari Raya season, our first-ever sooka commercial will make an excellent reminder to all Malaysians about the bond they share and the quality time they can spend together," she said.

Krisis Social Media Anis which is also available on sooka's official YouTube page has already garnered close to 846,000 views on the online video sharing platform.
