#Showbiz: Calum Scott's Bridges Tour to include KL date

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular British singer-songwriter Calum Scott will be serenading fans for the second time in a live concert at the Plenary Hall in KLCC on Oct 27.

The multi-platinum selling, Brit Awards-nominated artiste will be in KL as part of his Bridges Asia Tour which will kick off in Tokyo, Japan on Oct 18 before he heads over to other locations including Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta and Singapore.

In a statement today, Scott said: "It feels so incredible to announce my Asia tour! It's been a long time coming and a lot of planning but after the last few years we've had, you can just tell how excited people are for live music again and I'm so happy to be a part of it."

"I am coming back with my band to play the songs that people discovered me on, as well as new songs from my second album which I would say is my best and most personal work yet — I can't wait to see you there," he said.

Scott has also announced that his highly-awaited sophomore studio album, Bridges, will be released on June 17.

The latest and fourth single released from Bridges, Heaven, once again reveals Scott's gift for finding unexpected ways to express universal emotions.

Bridges will also feature the previously released singles If You Ever Change Your Mind, a bittersweet but empowered piece produced by eight-time Grammy-winner Greg Kurstin, as well as the wildly soaring, Rise, and the heart-on-a-sleeve ballad, Biblical.

Scott's debut studio album from 2018, Only Human, was a widely acclaimed effort that hit No.1 on the iTunes album chart in 21 countries across the globe, in addition to selling more than 3.6 million units and garnering over 7.5 billion in combined streams.

Promoted by AEG Presents Asia and PR Worldwide, tickets for the Calum Scott Live In KL concert will go on sale on June 15 at 10am and are priced at RM328 (Cat 1), RM298 (Cat 2) and RM258 (Cat 3).

Tickets can be purchased via www.golive-asia.com or the GoLive Ticketing App.
