KUALA LUMPUR: All 24 cats which were cared for by the late singer Adibah Noor are now under the care of her manager.
In a news report today, Adibah's manager, identified only as Todd, said that despite having received many messages from the public who wanted to adopt the cats, she had to decline their offers as Adibah had entrusted her to care for the cats should anything happened to her.
"Being her manager, I had all this while helped her in caring for those cats. So one day, she said that she hoped I'd be able to carry on caring for them when she is no more around.
"So, giving the cats away after she passed on was never an option. Both her (Adibah's) elder sister and I will look after the cats together," he said.
Adibah died on Saturday, after succumbing to stage 4 ovarian cancer.
She was laid to rest at Taman Keramat Permai Muslim Cemetary here yesterday.
