Showbiz: More than 12,000 fans pack Axiata Arena for Judika and Gang [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 12,000 fans packed Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here last night to watch the Rockmantic Night: Judika And The Gang concert.

At the concert, besides the 45-year-old Indonesian crooner Judika Sihotang, the evening also saw three Malaysian artistes (Shila Amzah, Marsha Milan and Haqiem Rusli) and three up-and-coming singers from Indonesia (Dnanda, Daniel Pattinama and Axin Zay) who opened and some performed duet numbers with him throughout the two-and-a-half-hour performance.

After "the gang" opened the show for about half an hour, Judika emerged on stage in style, riding a big bike, complete with a studded leather jacket.

The singer sang a total of twenty songs, starting with the song 'Bukan Rayuan Gombal', 'Malaikat' and 'Tak Mungkin Bersama'.

Judika then addressed and welcomed his fans to the concert and joked: "I ate two packs of nasi lemak earlier, so now I'm ready to sing until 2am!"

As a nod to the host country, he also performed three songs originally performed by Malaysian artistes: Exists' 'Buih Jadi Permaidani' (which he sang with Haqiem Rusli), Wings' 'Sejati' and Siti Nurhaliza's 'Cindai'.

The concert, organised by Dua Anak Deo, was his first after his performance here four years ago at the Petronas Philharmonic Hall with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
