KUALA LUMPUR: Iconic singer Liza Hanim is set to entertain fans in her first solo concert at Zepp KL, Bukit Bintang next Feb 4.
The 8.30pm concert titled Liza Hanim 27 Years Journey In Concert celebrates her successful career which has spanned more than two decades and seen her release seven studio albums.
One of the country's most evergreen and popular female artistes, Liza, 43, first found fame winning the Golden Teen Search 1995 of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
The multiple award winner is currently participating in Astro's reality show All Stars Gegar Vaganza, which gathers past winners and runners-up from different seasons.
The singer whose best known songs include Sejuta Maaf, Siapa Sangka Siapa Menduga, Gelisah Mimpi and Merawat Luka Terpendam, will perform her latest single Mengertilah composed by Ajai at the coming concert.
The Bintang Penghibur RTM 1999 and Shanghai Music Festival 2000 runner-up winner's concert is presented by LH Media Sdn Bhd and Laugh Out Loud Entertainment.
LH Media managing director Shahrin Samsudin said in a statement yesterday the concert which is supported by the Communications and Digital Ministry and MyCreative Ventures Sdn Bhd would be a milestone in Liza's career and a thank you to all of her loyal fans.
"Liza has been a household name for two decades. As one of Malaysia's top female singers she is widely admired and new singers look up to her as a role model."
Liza said she would give her best in the concert and described it as her tribute to all Malaysians who have supported her over the years.
"I have got my song list ready and I'm really looking forward to the big day itself. And the new single Mengertilah is Ajai's first collaboration with me in two decades, released on Sept 15," she said.
