KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singer Datuk Khadijah Ibrahim has been applauded by Netizens for her spontaneous performance at a food court in Tanjung Bungah, Penang.
Khadijah recently shared a TikTok video of her performing a duet with a street musician identified only as Ezwan.
In the five minute video, a small crowd gathered around the duo as they performed one of Khadijah's evergreen songs, Doa Buat Kekasih.
Khadijah got the crowd singing along as Ezwan strummed his guitar.
Best of all, some of the onlookers found their golden chance to take a photo with the singer.
Khadijah subsequently praised Ezwan and gave him useful advice.
"I pray that you find success in singing and hope that you will give your best. When we do something wholeheartedly, we can deliver the song well.
"I pray that you will get more chances and keep this up," she said.
Khadijah's video has since garnered 500,000 views with over 18,000 likes.
Netizens praised her for being a true "people's entertainer".
"Congratulations to our legendary singer who is always down to earth and willing to share her voice with new talents," said Amran Ahmad.
