#Showbiz: 'It's like God gave me a second chance' — Nora Ariffin [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Datuk Nora Ariffin recently spent 10 days at a private hospital in Kajang as a result of a respiratory ailment.

The 50-year-old singer said that her hospitalisation, which included three days in the intensive care unit (ICU), gave her a new lease on life.

"It's like God gave me a second chance. I spent three days in the ICU fighting for my life," said Nora in an Instagram post after being discharged on Friday.

"I am a lot better now and resting at home. Thank you all my fans and friends for your constant prayers and kind thoughts."

Nora said she was looking forward to return to the recording studio, but wanted to spend some quality time with her family.

It was reported on Nov 14 that Nora was being treated at the ICU of a medical centre in Kajang.

Her husband, Dr Rushdi Ramli, shared this on Instagram, as did fellow singer Datuk Aishah Ariffin.

Nora had been admitted to hospital due to a high fever, and was transferred to the ICU when she began to suffer from breathing difficulties.
