#Showbiz: Afgan to mesmerise audiences with concert, taking inspiration from Robbie Williams' iconic Royal Albert Hall show

KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian singer-songwriter Afgan is set to captivate audiences at his concert tomorrow, drawing inspiration from Robbie Williams' iconic performance at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Afgan said his concert would feature more refined and elegant musical arrangements to mark his inaugural collaboration with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in the country.

Expressing his excitement about the unique collaboration, he commended the skill of the approximately 25 Malaysian orchestra musicians, praising their remarkable talent even during rehearsals.

"I have set specific conditions before accepting the invitation from organisers (Renjana Idea) for this concert in Kuala Lumpur. The concert needs to be different with the elements of the orchestra.

"I want people to come with a different spirit this time around," he told reporters at the press conference today.

Meanwhile, Afgan also shed light on choosing fellow Indonesian artiste, Raisa as the guest singer, citing the popularity of their duet "Percayalah" among Malaysians.

"More interestingly, Raisa will also perform one of her biggest solo hits tomorrow," he added.

The highly-anticipated concert will feature Afgan performing 25 of his songs, including popular Malaysian numbers.

"I can't say more… it will be a surprise," he added, promising a musical experience like no other.

All 3,000 concert tickets have been snapped up, underscoring the fervour surrounding Afgan's Live in Concert with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

To be staged at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre's (KLCC) Plenary Hall, this concert marks Afgan's return to Malaysia since his last show, the Afgan Evolution Live in Kuala Lumpur, held in December last year.
