#Showbiz: Stop quarrelling, Liza and I are best friends, says Jaclyn Victor

KUALA LUMPUR: The All Stars Gegar Vaganza (ASGV) winner Jaclyn Victor has urged her fans and those of fellow contestant Liza Hanim to stop quarrelling on social media.

The 45-year-old singer said in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday that she and Liza were best friends, and felt sad that their fans were attacking each other.

"Please calm down, guys. Liza and I are good friends and I love her a lot. But this is a competition and there will only be one winner, determined by the judges," said Jaclyn, adding that she and Liza did their best in the reality show's final showdown on Sunday.

When Jaclyn was announced as the winner by co-hosts Nabil Ahmad and Jihan Muse, fans of Liza and herself squabble on social media platform X.

Liza's fans claimed that she had been denied victory while Jaclyn's fans insisted that she had won based on her own merits.

"When I was on stage, I was ready to accept any outcome of this friendly competition. All of us are winners because we made it to ASGV. I am proud of Liza and fellow contestants, we support each other as friends," said Jaclyn, who performed three songs – When You Believe, Sandarkan Pada Kenangan and Let's Kill This Love – at the finals.

ASGV's finals was held at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil here at 8.30pm, and the judges were Datuk Ramli MS, Datuk Syafinaz Selamat and Ella.

The first runner-up was Singaporean singer Hady Mirza, while Nikki Palikat and Liza finished third and fourth respectively.
