KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Amyza Aznan's husband Khairil Idzhar Md Nazir, 49, has to undergo dialysis for life as his kidneys are in poor condition.
Khairil, who is in Ampang Hospital, was recently put under an induced coma and reported to be in critical condition.
"Doctors told me that he does not need to be placed under an induced coma any longer as his condition has improved. However his kidneys are bad and he needs to have dialysis treatment for the rest of his life," said Amyza in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.
Amyza, 47, also said that Khairil was conscious but weak, but she is glad that he is now "out of danger."
Khairil, who was down with Covid-19, has been warded at the hospital's intensive care unit since Dec 25.
