#Showbiz: Elly's 'Sayap' marked longest music video launch on a pop-up TV channel

KUALA LUMPUR: The recent launch of the music video of singer Elly Mazlein's new single titled "Sayap" on a special pop-up TV channel on Astro has marked another milestone for the singer.

In a press statement released today, the launch, which went on air for 48 hours, beginning at the stroke of midnight on Jan 25, has earned a place in the "Malaysian Book of Records" as the longest music video launch on a pop-up TV channel and made Elly the first artiste signed under Rocketfuel Entertainment to have achieved such a recognition.

On the channel, fans gained access to the music video, interviews with Elly, as well as the behind-the-scenes footage taken during filming of the video.

"I'm beyond thrilled, proud and grateful for this recognition, especially for this new single and it seems like the year 2024 has already started on a high note for me," said Elly, 43.

Meanwhile, an unnamed personnel from the "Malaysian Book of Records" congratulated Rocketfuel on this achievement and hoped this would inspire more local artistes to create more similar achievements that could go down in both history and its pages.

"Sayap" can be downloaded from iTunes and streamed on digital platforms, such as Joox, KKBox, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and YouTube Music.

The music video can be viewed on Rocketfuel Network's YouTube channel.
