KUALA LUMPUR: Superstar Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh revealed that she is still good friends with her ex-husband, Hong Kong businessman Sir Dickson Poon.
Yeoh, 61, and Poon, 67, were married from 1988 to 1991 and his eldest daughter Dee is her god daughter.
"I also get along great with his ex-wife and we go for holidays together," said Yeoh in an interview with actress Gwyneth Paltrow on Paltrow's podcast Goop recently.
Yeoh added that she and Poon had agreed to end their marriage as they did not get to spend much time with each other.
"We both had high expectations that could not be met. He wanted us to have more children, and he wanted sons to inherit his business," she said, adding that her acting career made her go places and not meet Poon for months.
Poon was previously married to Marjorie Yang, the mother of Dee.
After he and Yeoh were divorced, he married Pearl Yu, and they have two daughters and two sons.
Yeoh married businessman Datuk Jean Todt, 77, on July 27 last year in Geneva, Switzerland. They had been in a relationship since 2004.
