#Showbiz Filipino funnyman Ron Josol in town on March 16

KUALA LUMPUR: Internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian Ron Josol will be bringing his irreverent sense of humour to Malaysians during his live show "Ron The World" at The Platform Ken TTDI, here on March 16.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, the Filipino Canadian Josol skyrocketed to fame with his viral "Balut Scammer" comedy bit with the joke amassing over 10 million views online.

The last three decades has seen Ron rising in fame connecting with audiences worldwide through his unique brand of humour, capturing the essence of Asian experiences packaged with the right mix of witty day-to-day observations on life, culture, and the absurdities of the modern world.

As part of his world tour spanning over 15 countries, Ron brings years of comic material to the stage promising a crazy night of fun and laughter.

Winner of the Best Male Comedian and Best Male Performance in Canada, plus sealing victory at the "Just for Laughs" competition, Ron also performs regularly with his comic comrades, Jo Koy and Russell Peters on international tours.

His numerous performances in specials include Pinoy Comedy, Comedy Central: Stand Up Asia, Comedy Now, two specials for Showtime Arabia and one for Showtime US, Gotham Comedy Live, Comics Unleashed, Last Call with Carson Daly, and the Kevin Hart LOL show.

Josol jokes about the way Filipinos are mistaken for other ethnicities depending on where they are in the world.

"If I go to Miami, they think I'm Cuban. I go to L.A.; they think I'm Mexican. If I go to the Samoan Islands, they think I'm a newborn baby," he jests.

Presented by LOL Asia, Ron Josol's "Ron The World" will also be staged at The Projector @ Cineleisure in Singapore on March 15.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Feb 15) at 10am at https://lolasia.bigtix.io/. For more details visit, www.wearelol.asia.
