KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana has quashed rumours that her new house was a gift from her parents-in-law, Datuk Yusof Haslam and Datin Patimah Ismail.
In a news report yesterday, the 38-year-old artiste insisted that the house was bought using her own hard-earned money.
"Why would the parents of my former husband buy me a house? As you all know, I have a job and have my own money," she said.
Puteri Sarah said it was just malicious gossip, as she had been working hard to support herself and her children.
Puteri Sarah and filmmaker Syamsul married on March 8, 2014, divorcing on June 13, last year.
They have two children, Syaikhul Islam, 7, and Summayah, 5.
