KUALA LUMPUR: The former wife of late actor and comedian Amran Aman Ramli a.k.a. Amran Tompel, is hopeful that her mother will return her jewellery collection to her.
In a recent Harian Metro report, the 56-year-old Anas Salmee Syed Mohamad said that her her mother, who resided in Pengkalan Kubor, Kelantan, had declined to return the jewellery she had left at her mother's home in 1992, when she travelled to Kuala Lumpur to wed Amran.
The report said that every time she asked her family members in Kelantan about the jewellery, which were gifts from her first husband, they would inform her that the jewellery was no longer with them.
"However, one of them once informed me that the jewellery remained at the family residence and that she was not permitted to even mention them to me, much less return them," said Anas Salmee who added that a police report had been lodged at Seremban district police headquarters on Feb 22 as she wanted to seek compensation for the jewellery.
Anas Salmee and Amran divorced in 2015, and they have four children, now aged between 24 and 31.
Amran died at the age of 71 on April 26, 2022.
