KUALA LUMPUR: Social media influencer Marissa Dania Hakim and her husband Ahmad Aslam are modelling Hari Raya wear alongside his first wife Umisya Mazlan and her sister is seeing red.
Nadiah Mazlan has slammed the fashion brand for being insensitive towards Umisya and taking advantage of the controversy surrounding Marissa and Aslam to boost its sales.
In an Instagram post yesterday, Nadiah hit out at the fashion brand for lacking common sense and trying to profit from her sister's misfortune.
"Umisya did not know that her husband and his second wife also modelled for the brand. It is highly unethical for the fashion company to rope them in for a photo and video shoot which also involves my sister," said Nadiah.
"I demand that the company apologises to Umisya for hurting her feelings. They have no right to treat her like this. Where is their empathy in the holy month of Ramadan?"
Marissa, 19, secretly married Aslam, 25, in Songkhla, Thailand last Dec 27.
Their marriage was confirmed by Nadiah on Feb 7.
Last September, Umisya, 25, claimed that Marissa was the "third party" in her divorce proceedings against Aslam.
The couple subsequently reconciled after Umisya's idah period.
Marissa is the second of three children of actor Norman Hakim and actress Abby Abadi who were married between 2002 and 2009.
