KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Zarina Zainuddin has described the separation of popular celebrity couple, Bella Astillah and Aliff Aziz, as temporary.
The 53-year-old artiste said that even if they divorce, it is not impossible that they would 'rujuk semula' (reconcile) because they have children.
"People who have been married for 10 years get divorced and even after that some would 'rujuk' because the compatibility is strong between them. So, we can't really say.
"Maybe the divorce is a way for them to get to know themselves. For example, if Bella thinks that Aliff doesn't need to be in her life and vice versa. At that time, each of them could realised their shortcomings and reflected on themselves.
"Perhaps by being separated for a while, one of them might miss the other and feel a need each other," she said in a Harian Metro report today.
Zarina said that a in a divorce, it was certain that the children would be the victims and this was very sad.
"Who wants to live with their stepmother or stepfather? They won't have the same love as their own parents. I pray that Bella and Aliff reunite. God willing one day because they are still young.
"If Bella loves Aliff, loves her children, she has to make sacrifices. It's true that there would be many who incite her to divorce. Why live with such a man?
"Actually, only Bella knows what Aliff is really like. Why was she able to accept Aliff? Now that Bella is determined to get a divorce, let her divorce first. Bella will then have to think about what's best for her," she said.
Zarina added that she does not like people to divorce and when problems arise it is easy to choose that path path.
"We don't get anything with a divorce. If we can survive, defend our household, defend our husband's dignity. We don't know if he really did bad things. So we can't make judgements on all of these things. That's between him (Aliff) and God.
"We are not in their situation. It is true that they were caught together. But we do not know what really happened, we dd not see what they were doing in that place.
"Is it really true that they are doing something together? Or were they talking, chatting while watching TV, we don't know. It happened because they are close friends and 'shooting' as hero and heroine. But we don't know if they are 'in love' because that is outside of our knowledge," she said.
