#Showbiz: Shuk breaks silence on marriage to Fara

KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and host, Shuk Sahar, 38, has revealed the truth about his current status of being married for the second time to his chosen woman, Fara Salleh, last November.

Shuk, or Mohammad Shukri Mohammed Sahar, said that he has chosen to keep a tight lip about his marriage as he feels it's not yet the right time to publicly disclose the details.

"To be honest, what came out about my marriage story is true. I indeed got married to my wife (Fara) last November. It's not that I intentionally wanted to keep this marriage a secret because my family and close friends already know, I'm just waiting for the right moment," he said in a video podcast interview.

Shuk mentioned that he now feels more comfortable not excessively sharing his personal life and marital story on social media as he fears some might misinterpret his statements.

"Previously, there were media outlets contacting me to ask about my marriage, but I said that I don't wish to comment. I apologise to the media for not sharing details about my personal story and experiences, but I need the appropriate time to explain everything. My past experiences taught me a lot when I used to share too openly on social media which ended up with me facing various criticisms from netizens," he said.

Recently, Fara also disclosed that she is now Shuk's wife, and that they were married approximately four months ago, although there was no wedding reception held.

It is understood that she also mentioned being legally married to Shuk, but did not share detailed information on their marriage.

Previously, Shuk was married to social media influencer Rossa Sera in 2015, and blessed with two children, Nur Qurratu Ain, 8, and Nur Assiyfatu Aimi, 5. However, they divorced on March 22 last year after returning from performing Umrah together.
