A campaign that promotes health and fitness

THE #EveryStepCounts campaign, a corporate social responsibility effort by the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM) in collaboration with Vinda Malaysia, is a nationwide free virtual platform to promote health, fitness and overall well-being among Malaysians in view of the pandemic.

The campaign combines a virtual run and a series of Facebook Live health talks that will kick off from June 12 to 20.

The Virtual Run

OGSM and Vinda Malaysia urge Malaysians to keep to a workout routine or to start one during these trying times despite the limitations, using the #EveryStepCounts virtual event as an inspiration to kick-start a journey to better fitness and health, while remaining in a safe environment.

Take three simple steps to participate in the virtual run:

1. Register

2. Pick one day to run, jog, or walk at home or outside

3. Record the number of steps you have taken and submit your results to receive a RM15 e-voucher to redeem your Drypers, Libresse, Tena and Vinda Deluxe essentials at the virtual VindaMall (https://vindamall.com/).

You may use any app to record your steps and 10 winners achieving the most number of steps will be awarded RM200 e-vouchers each to shop at VindaMall.

The Health Talks

The health talks, scheduled on the weekends on June 12, 13, 19 and 20 from 3pm to 4.30pm, will enhance understanding of how to care for our health and well-being.

Each session will contain useful information and feature live chats with experts on topics ranging from physical to mental health for women and families, including baby care, V-Zone health, mental and physical resilience to life's challenges, healthy diets, exercises, and protection of a family's well-being through good prevention practices.

Attractive prizes are also up for grabs during these interactive sessions with product gift sets worth a total of RM2,000 from Drypers, Libresse, Tena, and Vinda Deluxe.

Expert speakers include consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Hoo Mei Lin, Dr Tang Boon Nee, Dr Khong Su Yen, Dr Shilpa Nambiar, Professor Dr Woo Yin Ling, Dr Imelda Balchin; consultant paediatrician Dr Zarin Zain and physiotherapist Tham Sze Kei.
