KUALA LUMPUR: “Please give us some time and space to adjust to the new addition to the family,” said popular actress and new mom, Lisa Surihani when asked about her newborn baby girl, delivered safely last Tuesday.
The award-winning actress who is married to music producer and film director Yusry Abdul Halim, gave birth to her first child on the eve of Malaysia Day.
Lisa reportedly gave birth to a healthy baby girl, at around 11.44pm, at an undisclosed location.
The good news was announced by Astro’s entertainment program, HLive, via its official Instagram account, which was then shared by other entertainment portals.
Although refused to comment further on the details of the delivery, Lisa however thanked everyone who has prayed for the safety of her and her newborn baby.
“Both Yusry and I are still adjusting with this new environment. I hope everyone can give me some space and time before I could share any details. We will definitely share this good news with everyone when the time comes,” she said.
Known for her role as Dian in Bernard Chauly’s Istanbul Aku Datang, Lisa, 29, and Yusry, 42, tied the knot on Feb 23, 2012.
