KULAI: Part of a retaining wall at the Putra Utama highway in Bandar Putra, here collapsed and damaged a main water supply pipe today, causing water supply disruption to some 8,300 users in the neighbourhood.

SAJ Holdings Sdn Bhd corporate communications head, Jamalludin Jamil said he was made aware of the incident which had occured 3pm yesterday.

"We immediately sent people for rectification work as the collapsed wall also caused severe damage to our 800mm-wide main pipe," he said.

Jamaluddin said the cause of the collapse wall was due to earth works at a nearby construction project and the rubble from the collapsed wall hit the pipe and caused a burst pipe," he said.
