Vote of no confidence for Selangor MB?

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim may have to brace himself for something worse than just rumours - a motion of no confidence to force him to vacate his seat.

Sources said a Selangor Backbenchers Club meeting, chaired by Gombak member of Parliament, Mohamed Azmin Ali was to seek consensus to call for a special state assembly session to table the motion of no confidence against Abdul Khalid despite Azmin claiming a change of Menteri Besar was not a primary concern at the moment.

Azmin who spoke after the meeting said any change of Menteri Besar would only be discussed collectively when the time is right.

He advised everyone to stop the slander and personal attacks and instead focus their attention on developing the state and work as a team to help the people.

Azmin however declined to comment when asked if he was behind the rumours but said "The election is over and decision has been made. Now it is time to work. When there is a need to discuss the issue, we will do it collectively," he said.
